Main Museum Floor: January 9th - September 11th, 2023

The Sacramento Children’s Museum is where children learn through play and exploration in environments designed just for them. A visit to our museum includes but is not limited to, the following exhibits.

  • Airways: Our large open-ended pneumatic air exhibit invites you to experiment with the tremendous power of air.
  • The Art Studio: Allows kids and grown-ups to create their masterpieces in an open-ended format.
  • Leo's Market: Role-play for a day and run a grocery store at Leo’s Market!
  • Imagination Playground: Kids learn to problem-solve, take risks and collaborate while sorting, stacking, and building.

Measurement Rules Exhibit: September 25th, 2023 - January 8th, 2024

Measurement is an essential part of our lives, but only sometimes easy to understand. Gauge height, distance, volume, and more in Measurement Rules, an interactive exhibit that introduces students to various units of measurement. This field trip does not include the Main Museum Floor.

  • Height: Measure your height in inches, pennies, apples and more.
  • Distance: Use the treadmill and count how many yards you can walk.
  • Volume: Use cubic blocks to build animals.
  • Weight: Step on a scale to see your weight in chickens.
  • And much more!
